All Coaches will be parked on Marine Parade Coach Park (access from southern end only, turn at Royal Sands). No other coach parking is available in the town.

On arrival, an official will collect your parking fee of £35 (coach parking) or £15 (mini bus parking). This is a contribution towards Carnival funds. You will be issued with an official receipt and directed to your parking position. Permit holders are exempt from this payment.

When approaching Weston-super- Mare, please proceed along one of the following routes, which will be signposted ‘Carnival Coach Routes’. Drivers please note – some town centre roads will close at 6pm.

Access to Marine Parade parking area will be from the southern end only, (on payment of £35 (coach parking) or £15 (mini bus parking) for non permit holders) by turning at the Royal Sands.

When approaching Weston-super-Mare, please proceed along one of the following routes, which will be signposted ‘Carnival Coach Routes’. Drivers please note – some town centre roads will close at 5pm

From Junction 21 M5: Join A370, then follow the signs towards the town centre. At the fourth roundabout (facing Homebase store), turn left. Proceed along Winterstoke Road following signage for seafront south.

B From Banwell and Bath: Follow signs for Seafront and Town Centre at Airport Roundabout on A371. Proceed over flyover and bear left. If proceeding directly to Marine Parade turn left at third roundabout, facing Homebase store and follow signs for Seafront south.

C From the south: Proceed directly to Marine Parade parking area via Uphill Road North from where passengers can walk into the town centre.

The town becomes extremely congested, with traffic and pedestrians. It is not recommended to park in any road or street within two miles of the town centre, as this may cause an obstruction for the emergency services. All coaches must park in the designated parking areas and purchase the appropriate permit.

Failure to do so may result in Police Prosecution and removal of the vehicle.

There is first aid provision around the route.

General Parking

The map shows the route to Marine Parade, the official coach parking area for Carnival night. The parking fee is £35 or £15, the proceeds of which go to the Carnival Charity Funds. This will be collected by official attendants.

Please use the coach parking area. Please remember that the object of the Carnival is to raise funds for charity, pay

prize monies to entries, and to provide an enjoyable evening for thousands of people. It also generates business for you, the operator. Permit only parking North Somerset Council has granted permission for a limited amount of ‘On Route’ parking on the Promenade reserved strictly for permit holders only. These permits are only available in advance.

Application forms are obtainable from WsM Carnival Ltd at a cost of £40 for mini-buses of 16 seats or under and £110 for coaches over 17 seats. A partial refund may be claimed if the route is changed due to bad weather, and does not pass the permit area.

Parking in this restricted area is not permitted before 4pm, or until authorised by officials, after road closures. Permits must be displayed in a prominent position. Permits will allow parking in the general parking area at no extra charge. We have been given permission to park on the New Pedestrian Promenade. There is, however, conditions that any vehicle with oil leaks will not be permitted on the Promenade and must carry absorbent matting to avoid contaminating the decorative surfaces. It is stressed that unless this is carried out vehicles will be refused entry on to this area. Compliance with this will ensure permission may be granted in subsequent years.

Permits are only available in advance from:
